I am sponsoring this case for myself. This case updates PCIe bindings to
include support for Alternate Routing-ID (AIR). The main changes are
in the numerical representation and a new property, "ari-enabled" in
either root-port or downstream-port if devices underneath have
ARI forwarding extended capability.

See more details on ARI support at,
http://cpubringup.sfbay.sun.com/twiki/bin/view/CSWFirmware/ARIFirmwareSupport

The updated bindings is copied to case directory at,
http://sac.eng.sun.com/arc/FWARC/2010/063/Materials/pci-e.binding.txt

The delta between the current version of the bindings and new one is also
copied in the materials directory at,
http://sac.eng.sun.com/arc/FWARC/2010/063/Materials/bindigs_delta.txt

This case also defined a new configuration variable as defined below,

pcie-ari-enabled? Configuration Variable

   pcie-ari-enabled?	( -- enabled? ) N

If true, enable ARI in root and downstream switch ports, if that port
supports ARI and the device immediately "below" that port supports ARI.

The default value is platform specific. On existing platforms, the
default is false. On new platforms, where the minimum supported OS
contains ARI support, the default may be true.

                                     extended capability and platform
                                     supports ARI.

"pcie-ari-enabled? Uncommitted Configuration variable, default is
                                     determined by a platform.

This case will be approved for a minor/micro/patch OS binding
and a minor/micro binding for the firmware.

Case timer is set to expire on March 2, 2010.

I was reminded that I should put ARI support document to the materials
directory since it has all the details of what is being proposed for ARI
support.
It includes new property description, configuration variable and lot more
information about ARI. So, I am making that as main the specification for
this case. PCIe bindings update is a result of extended function number
bits
and the new property defined in the ARI support document. This document
is copied to materials directory and is available at,
http://sac.eng.sun.com/arc/FWARC/2010/063/Materials/ari-support.txt

I have copied SCCS directory there too so that history of both ARI support
document and PCIe bindings is available in the case directory as well.

The timer remains to be one week from today, March 2, 2010.
