This case only covers Solaris, but the interfaces are also planned to be incorporated into the JDS/Linux X server in an upcoming release (probably Cinnabar). The original one-pager for this project covered notification of both screen and cursor changes. Since that time, we have worked out with the open source community to use two extensions developed in collobaration with the community to implement this. The first, XFixes, includes the cursor notification, and was separately reviewed as PSARC 2004/318. That leaves the screen notification for this case to review, as implemented in the X Damage extension.
