2.0 Project Summary
  2.1 Project Description
Libical is an Open Source (MPL/LGPL) implementation of the IETF's
iCalendar Calendaring and Scheduling protocols. (RFC 2445, 2446, and
2447). The latest code is available at
        http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeassociation/.

Libical is used by Evolution mail client. Before a forked version was
shipped in Evolution source and Evolution links it statically. But now,
the Evolution community decided to use the official release of libical
and we plan to make this change for the GNOME 2.26 release. So we will
ship libical in Solaris too to make Evolution continue to work.

The libical source is licensed under Mozilla Public License 1.0 or GNU
Library General Public License 2.1. But for Solaris distribution, we
        will use LGPL 2.1.
