4. Technical Description:
    4.1. Details:

Libvisual is a framework that delivers audio visualisation to multimedia
application. Audio visualisation means animated video effects that help
to visually enhance the experience of listening to music. For example,
video animations that pulse with the amplitude or frequency of the
       music.

Libvisual works by acting as a middle layer between the visualisation
plugin and a media application. libvisual-plugins provides the ability
for applications to integrate different visualization effects using a
       standard plugin interface.

Libvisual can beautify media players when audio is played, For example,
it can be used in Totem, Rhythmbox and Elisa.

Jim,

Will there be 64-bit versions of the library available?
The interface table states that /usr/include/libvisual-0.4
is a header file. Is that correct or is the directory
that contains the header file?

Thanks,

John

John:

> Will there be 64-bit versions of the library available?

Since libvisual is only used by media applications (such as
totem, rhythmbox, and Songbord), and since such media applications
are currently 32-bit only, I don't see a particular need to support
libvisual at 64-bit until there are 64-bit programs that will use it.

Correct, it is a directory that contains header files.
