I am sponsoring this case for Ted You. This case is to provide
a new NIC driver, igb(7D), for Intel 82575 1Gb PCI express adpater.
The requested release binding is micro/patch.

Because the architecture and interface are clear and straight forwarding,
I am marking it as "closed approved automatic".

1. Introduction
     1.1. Project/Component Working Name:
Intel 82575 1Gb PCI Express NIC Driver
     1.2. Name of Document Author/Supplier:
          Author: Ted You
     1.3 Date of This Document:
	 30 October, 2007

4. Technical Description
This case adds support for Intel 82575 1Gb PCI Express Adapter Driver
     into ON.

The architecture of the Intel 82575 1Gb PCI Express Adapter differs
significantly from the old Intel PRO/1000 adapters, which are supported
by the e1000g driver. So a new driver igb(7D) is required.

Intel has software license agreement with Sun to allow Sun integrate
this driver and distribute the software in both source, and binary
object code forms. This SLA also grants Sun the right to make
modification to the source code and distribute the modified driver
in open source and binary forms.

The driver supports x86/x64 and SPARC platform.

The vendor ID and device ID of the chips supported are:
     	pci8086,10A7
     	pci8086,10A9
     	pci8086,10D6

If that is a PCI Express card/chip, shouldn't the above be in form
         pciex8086,10A7
         pciex8086,10A9
         pciex8086,10D6
