SUMMARY
=======
This project is to enable Solaris to boot off iSCSI luns via regular network
adapters. Different approaches, iBFT/OBP, are adopted to implement this feature
on x86/sparc platforms. This case supersedes PSARC/2007/450, iSCSI Software boot.


ISSUES
======
gcs-1)	I'm not sure I understand what the case boundaries are.  In
	particular, does this case depend on aonther case to deliver
	firmware modified to understand iSCSI, does it deliver such
	modifications itself, or am I missing something that renders
	the question moot?

ANSWER: On the SPARC side, firmware will be built. There is a dependency on this firmware project. OBP Project team to submit a one pager for this project that poses a dependency. 

gcs-2)	Along those same lines, this case says it supercedes 2007/450.
	Did that case ever actually deliver anything?

ANSWER: Did not deliver anything. Make sure functional spec list & previous
issues file is complete.

kb-01	IS the iSCSI boot of Xen virtual machines in this project's scope?

ANSWER: Out of intended scope because it can already be done. Note
this in the materials.

kb-02	Not clear about the direction on the dependency on the
	Solaris automated installer.

ANSWER: Once delivered, the automated installer will want to take advantage
of features provided. Note this dependency in case material and spec.

kb-03	Need more details about the intended twistes to the TCP/IP stack and
	sockfs for supporting polled I/O

ANSWER: There was a conversation around this related to previous case.
... What is good enough for diskless booting is good enough for iSCSI.

Project team needs to answer:  
Does the iSCSI Booting support change the situation for dump support 	resulting from a diskless crash.
Project Team answer is No changes.

Q: Where doese the CAP implementation live? Does it have to be in the firmware.
A: Yes.
x86 side - No impact.
SPARC side - Yes / Another case dependency
