This case seeks a patch binding for a Solaris 10 update release. The case introduces an expanded list of defects associated with failures of the Eversholt diagnosis engine. The case is a straight-forward addition of events which are part of an approved FMA portfolio. I believe the case qualifies for self review and have filed it as Closed Approved Automatic. 1. Technical Description This case takes the existing "catch-all" defect which the Eversholt DE produces when it fails to perform a diagnosis, "defect.sunos.eft.undiagnosable_problem", and splits it up into multiple defects and knowledge articles that are more specific. The new defect events are: defect.sunos.eft.undiag.checkpoint defect.sunos.eft.undiag.fme defect.sunos.eft.undiag.limit defect.sunos.eft.undiag.unknown This defect event names are Sun Private and this case seeks a patch binding. The existing defect is deprecated and will no longer be produced once the changes to the Eversholt diagnosis engine are introduced.
