Summary
=======

    pmtools[1] provides utilities to access, extract, and convert ACPI power
    management tables to a human readable format. This allows the user to
    directly obtain these tables to view what ACPI information is presented
    to the kernel by the BIOS. The tables provide an amalgamation of
    information about a given platform. For example, the kernel uses this
    data (when possible) to define a platform's NUMA configuration by making
    use of the SRAT (System Resource Affinity Table) and the SLIT (System
    Locality Information Table).

    pmtools 20071116 will be integrated into the SFW consolidation as part
    of this proposal, and will be installed as SUNWpmtools. This project
    requests a minor release binding.

    Note: pmtools is architecture specific. Only i386 packages will be
    delivered.
