FastTrack:  Message Queue 4.1 (Harrier) - update


Release Binding:  Minor

This is a fast track request for a minor interface changes in Java System Message Queue 4.1.  Message Queue 4.1 is a minor release of the product and adds the interfaces from 3 new cases to the WSARC/2006/536 case.

This fast track adds additional interfaces associated with OpenInstaller.

CHANGES
========

This added interfaces from the following case numbers:
    LSARC/2007/441 openInstaller JDK Selection
    LSARC/2007/442 openInstaller Language Selection
    LSARC/2007/443 openInstaller Upgrade support

Message Queue uses features of OpenInstaller which were part of these case.

The MQ case WSARC/2006/536 covered use of these interfaces which were recently filed as fasttracks.

Interfaces from the LSARC/2007/442 provides the ability to select and install a single localization package that uses all locales.  A check-box is provided on the install page to allow the administrator to install localizations. 

Interfaces from the JDK selection panel (LSARC/2007/441)  provide the ability to select and use an existing JDK on the system.  The selection panel contains a scrolled list that shows all acceptable JDKs on the system.  Configuration is provided to allow MQ to specify the range of JDK's which are available to the user.

Upgrade Support (LSARC/2007/443) provides the ability to identify and upgrade an existing Message Queue install on on Solaris and Linux.  It adds the following support:
   * user interface changes which identify to the user that upgrade is supported
   * configuration which allows the application (MQ) to specifiy where older versions may be
     located and what versions can be upgraded
   * a property added to the existing silent mode that allows upgrade
